nfs mount stalled, and kernel oops

Hello,

I've 2 issues, but I'm not sure is they are related:

- I'm am able to browse nfs shares, but if I try to open a file, the system stalls. I've made some tests in telnet session: the df commands take several seconds to display the nfs mount points. And a dd if=/some/nfs/file of=/dev/null count=1 doesn't complete.

- taking a look at he demsg output, I noticed a ugly error message, pasted below.

The network works fine, and the nfs server is fully responding when I connect to it through my laptop...

Any hint welcome, can make some more test/report if needed

Status update:

I still have the kernel oops (and still no idea). I have setup a samba server on my main linux box, and geexbox is able to access the shared folders seemlessly.

I have some performance issue with movies, and I need to disable the visual effects to play audio with interrupts. Maybe a usb network adapter issue ? will make some test if/when I get another one.

I'm getting the same sort of happening.

I've added using smb for serving some mp3 files. Most tracks play OK, however reviewing the load average on the box, it is showing a load av of 2.02,2.02 and 2.02 at idle and then 3.8, 3.5, 3.0 when playing mp3 files.

I think it might be worth adding a method of check the load average and also why two processes are running so high on the box.
