You should notice that OP used "SUB_CHARSET=windows-1250".

The only thing you have to do is to make sure SUB_CHARSET matches your subtitles' encoding.

Note, encoding ≠ language.

USB wifi support has to be built by yourself.

Only USB LAN support is built-in in current versions.

It's best to start with no encryption and if everything works, add encryption later.

I haven't used wifi in a while, but you may want to check the "# Wifi WEP/WPA key (in ASCII mode, not hex.)" part.
