I'm getting the same sort of happening. I've added using smb for serving some mp3 files. Most tracks play OK, however reviewing the load average on the box, it is showing a load av of 2.02,2.02 and 2.02 at idle and then 3.8, 3.5, 3.0 when playing mp3 files. I think it might be worth adding a method ...
