You only have to specify "SUB_CHARSET=sr" in 'settings' for it to work. No other change should be required.

I tried that on the first place, but still no way to display čšćđ characters. it has to do something with unicode or i don't know

Farter, can you tryout yourself a serbian language subtitle to see why ščđćž are not displayed?

I tried your suggestions but they dont do the work, i changed font too to Arial.ttf. IT changes the font but still doesn't display ščđćž .
Аnd i am sure that FreeSans and Arial support those characters.

It has to do something with unicode convertion or subchar convertion

Seems that some configuration is missing, will be fixed in next release. Thanks for reporting.

For now, you can convert to utf8.

The only thing you have to do is to make sure SUB_CHARSET matches your subtitles' encoding.

Note, encoding ≠ language.

SUB_CHARSET set to windows-1252 as the subtitles` encoding windows-1252... it doesn`t work. Works only with english subtitle, the problem are probably the serbian characters.
