I dont know for sure, but it is probably not very easy.
The IOS version used to reboot (and go to the warning screen) before gaining the ability to return to HBC. Either way, you will have to press some button(s) to go to system menu, so pretty much the same 'trouble'.

You probably want to use a USB keyboard and boot into debug mode to check whether wifi actually works on the Wii side. Then you could go on to debug why those services fail to work properly. Eh, the comments are misleading, they are only meant for WPA key. For WEP, you have to use the 10 or 26 hex digit 'key' specified in your AP's configuration GUI as WIFI_KEY, NOT the passphrase used to generate the hex key.
